What is counseling?
The American Counseling Association website states that Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
To resolve a particular issue through talk therapy, it usually takes on average 21 sessions. Hypnotherapy allows an individual to bypass their critical mind to get to the main underlying issue generally within the first two sessions. It's a faster way to get to the root cause of what is causing physical or emotional distress in the present day. I personally like to use a combination of both talk therapy and hypnotherapy when working with individuals.
